            Clarence Clifford Campbell, Jr., 73, Hazen, passed away on May 15, 2017 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Hazen with Fr. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Linton Cemetery, Linton, ND.

            Cliff was born to Clarence and Pauline (Van De Walker) Campbell on April 13, 1944 in San Francisco, CA.  He was raised in Watertown, NY and served in the US Army in the 1960s.  He met his wife, Nettie, in Chicago in 1967 and together they raised five children in Dallas, TX.  While in Dallas, Cliff worked as a carpenter and custom cabinet maker.  In 1991, they moved to Linton, ND and he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for the next 26 years.  In 2010, he moved to Hazen and married Carleen Dalbol.  He enjoyed driving pilot car for the wind turbines for a few years after moving to Hazen.  At the time of his death he was working for Antelope Creek Trucking out of Beulah, ND.

            Cliff enjoyed riding motorcycles, telling jokes, reading, smoking cigars, hunting, woodworking and going to garage sales – always making sure to get the best deal.

            He is survived by his wife, Carleen; daughter, Rene, son, Keith, daughter, Tammy (Patty), son, Mark (Robin) and son, Clarence (Heather); his step-daughter, Nadine (Terry), step-son, Alan (Nicole) and step-daughter, Bonnie (Jason); his brother, Joe (Deb), sister, Ronnie (Rick), brother, Vince (Geraldine); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandkids, step-grandkids and great-grandkids.

            He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, and wife, Nettie. 

            Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
