CLARENCE SCHUMACHER, 89, of Beulah, died Sunday, October 09, 2016, at the Knife River Care Center, Beulah.  Services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT, Friday, October 14, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beulah, with Fr. Kenneth Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

            Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beulah.

Clarence was born on May 19, 1927, in Hebron, ND to Joe and Frances (Wieand) Schumacher.  He was raised and educated south of Beulah at Oliver County Country School.  On November 9, 1954, he married Delphine Heier at St. Benedict Church, south of Beulah.  They were married 61 years and lived in Beulah all those years.  Clarence worked for farmers in his early years.  After moving to Beulah, he worked for Farmer’s Union Oil, Pinkerton Security, Al’s Sanitation, City of Beulah, and Downtown Conoco before retiring.  In his younger years, Clarence played baseball and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins on TV.  He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

            Clarence is survived by his wife, Delphine; two daughters, Donna (Nick) Thomas, Sylvia (Steven) Dschaak both of Beulah; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilfred; one sister, Elaine Keller; one brother-in-law, James Renner.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Theresa Renner; one brother-in-law, Joseph Keller.
