ELAINE YEAGER, 79, Beulah, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND, surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah, ND, with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Burial will follow at the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM CST on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Elaine was born October 24, 1938 to Henry and Emma (Hintz) Bornemann in New Salem. She was raised and educated in the Center/Hannover area. She was a member of the 1956 state runner-up Center Wildcat girl’s basketball team. Elaine married Norman Yeager on October 26, 1956. After numerous moves they stayed and resided in Beulah for the past 47 years. She was a resident of Knife River Care Center for the past 1-1/2 years.

Elaine worked numerous bookkeeping and cleaning jobs. Her last job was working at the Knife River Care Center for 30 years before retiring in February 2003. She loved bird watching and feeding her Blue Jays. She spent numerous hours quilting and embroidering gifts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved baking and her sugar cookies were the best. She also loved to garden and taking care of her family was her life.

Elaine is survived by sons; Lyle (Vicky), Keith (Lori), Larry, Kenny, and Kevin (Robin) all of Beulah, ND; one daughter, Judy (Kim) Sparrow, Bismarck, ND; nine grandchildren, Shane (Natalie) Yeager, Shawn (fiancé, Sarah) Yeager; Shantel (John) Neuberger, Shaye Yeager, Jerica (John) Romanyshyn, Jenna (Jason) Freidt, Derek (Reema) Yeager, Sheridan (Kimberly) Sparrow, Kyle (special friend, Carlee) Sparrow; three sisters, Norma Beckman, Verna Reuther, Esther Bornemann; one brother, Martin (Verna) Bornemann; one sister-in-law, Marly Bornemann; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman; her parents, her brothers, Lorence (Shirley) and Earl Bornemann; two brothers-in-law, Preston Beckman and Herbert Reuther.
