Gerhardt (Gary) Phillip Hausauer, 80, of Beulah ND passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2017, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah with Reverend Toby Heller officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Gary was born on April 9, 1937, to Phillip and Christina (Flemmer) Hausauer. Gary was employed at Knife River Coal Company and worked there for 40 years. On February 8, 1959, he married Betty Ann (Bauer) and shared 53 years of marriage with her until she passed away in 2012.

Gary enjoyed gardening, playing cards, watching baseball games, fishing, camping and bowling.

Gary is survived by his two children, Kenneth (Sheri) Hausauer, Lakewood, CO, and Lonnie (Emory) Johnson, Denver, CO; six sisters; Ida Voegele, Pauline Frank, Viola Martin, Elsie Opp, Ella Fandrich and Linda Dallman; three brothers; Dave, Alex and Dale.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his sister Martha Huber, and four brothers, Carl, Ray, Herb and Fred.
