MARGARET RETTKE, 87, of Williston, formerly of Hazen, died Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Williston, ND.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah with Pastor Kent Sperry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beulah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Margaret was born on April 30, 1929, to George and Klasina (Cornelius) Loning at Rhein, ND in Oliver County.  She married John Kottre on December 16, 1945 at Beulah, ND.  She later married Paul Rettke on November 30, 1970 in Bison, SD.  Paul died on April 8, 1991. 

She is survived by two sons, Mark (Patty) Rettke of Williston, ND, Robert (Delores Kottre of Beulah, ND; one daughter, Shirley Duppong of Glen Ullin, ND; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Henrietta (Bennie) Guenthner of Hazen; many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John and Paul; one grandson, Dominic Rettke; one brother, Louis Loning; one son-in-law, Wilfred Duppong; three half-sisters, Ann Bumann, Geraldine Kadus, Pearl Kadus Lane; two half-brothers, Anton Loning and Fred Kadus.
