October 25, 1919 ~ February 15, 2017 (age 97) 97 Years Old

Patrick (Pat) Mader, 97, of Dickinson, formerly of Columbus, ND and Stanton, ND passed away on February 15, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND surrounded by his family. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Stanton with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating. 

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with burial to follow at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Pat was born October 25, 1919 at Heartland, ND in Mountrail County to Peter and Katherine (Leutheart) Mader. He married his childhood sweetheart, Alma Tweet on April 18, 1938, at Bowbells, ND.

The couple was blessed with three children. Pat was employed with Truax-Traer Coal Company and Consolidation Coal Company for 42 plus years. Pat was a hard-working man and was very dedicated to his job. He lived in North Dakota all his 97 years. Alma passed away March 29, 2001 at Hazen, ND.  Pat resided at Hazen Senior Suites for a few years and moved to Benedict Court Assisted Living in Dickinson, ND to be closer to his daughter and family.  Pat was a proud head of the family for five generations and will be dearly missed.

Pat is survived by his children, Marlyne (Jerome) Tveter, Dickinson, ND and Rodney (Cleo) Mader of Montana and Arizona; his beloved grandchildren, Dr. Kevin (Jayne) Tveter, Morgantown, WV, Tami (Dan) Woods Cincinnati, OH, Wade (Kristen) Tveter, Cheyenne, WY, Susan (Dave) Hoesel, Dickinson, ND, Paula Mader, Reno, NV, and Marsha (Nick) Paredes, Everett, WA; twelve great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren with number nine due in May; two sisters, Rose Offerdahl and Myrtle Terry and brother-in-law Robert Lemoine all of Great Falls, MT and sister-in-law Doris (Tweet) Huyghe of Conrad, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Katherine Mader; his wife, Alma; infant son, Kevin; seven sisters; four brothers; and infant twin granddaughters.

 Memorials may be given in Pat’s name to any charity of your choice.
