Robert “Bob” Michael Schutt, 66, of Beulah, died on January 8, 2017, at Trinity Hospital, Minot, after a fall on December 28, 2016.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Thursday, January 12, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Beulah.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM CST, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Robert was born on July 2, 1950, to Benedict and Agnes (Hellman), in Beulah.  He graduated from Beulah High School in 1970.  In 1972, he married Jean Nelson, in Mandan.  In 1974, Bob started working at Knife River Coal in Beulah, until his retirement in 2007.  After his retirement he drove school bus until retiring in May 2016.

Bob was active in his church and community.  He was on the Beulah City Council for many years, Beulah Fire Department, United Mine Workers, Church Council, Knights of Columbus, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and an avid Beulah Miner fan.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jean of Beulah; sons, Scott (Taya) of Mooresville, NC, and Darrin (Rebecca) of Litchfield, MN; daughter, Amy (Leonard) Prince of Beulah, ND; six grandchildren, Keegan, Camden, Gavin, Emma, Maya and Judd; brothers and sisters, Arlene (Eugene) Emter of Bismarck, Adeline (Steve) Denison of Brooklyn Park, MN, Ray (Shirley) of Mandan, ND, Irene Kuhn of Hazen, ND, Joe (Brenda) of Beulah, ND, Susan (Dave) Pfeifer of Bismarck, ND, Pat (Randy) Moberg of Bagley, MN; mother-in-law, LaVerne Nelson of Mandan, ND; brothers-in-law, Herb (Doris) Nelson of Florissant, MO, Tom of Mandan, ND; sister-in-law, Vivian Graham of LaCrosse, WI; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; his sister of his heart, Rita (Jeff) Baranick and her family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ralph; his father-in-law, Archie Nelson; one brother-in-law, Wayne Kuhn; and one nephew, Brandon Kuhn.
