Ruby (Wolff) Dallman

October 26, 1921 ~ August 19, 2016 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Ruby Dallman, 94, of Zap, ND died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Ruby was born on October 26, 1921 to Henry and Amelia (Flemmer) Wolff on the family farm south of Golden Valley, ND. She was the oldest of seven children. Ruby grew up and attended country school south of Golden Valley and graduated from Golden Valley High School. Following high school, she attended a secretarial school in Minneapolis, MN and also worked there for a short time before returning to Beulah, ND where she worked for AAA. On June 6, 1943, Ruby married A.J. Dallman.  They farmed and ranched together with Ruby gaining a reputation for being a hard working woman with a passion for cooking wonderful meals for family, friends, and workers.

Ruby was a member of Zap Homemakers club, the Gray Ladies, Zion Lutheran Church, Farm Bureau, the Republican Party and the North Dakota Cow Belles Association, of which she was the president. She sold NoDak Mutual Insurance for many years. Ruby enjoyed playing pinochle, gardening, quilting, fishing and traveling with her husband. They traveled the world, including Nigeria, Israel, much of Europe, the Soviet Union, Guatemala and Panama, as well as most of the United States and Canada. Ruby and A.J. also spent their winters in Apache Junction and Gold Canyon, AZ for nearly 20 years.

She is survived by her three sons, Tom (Linda) of Zap, Neal (Carol) of Fairbanks, AK and Morgan  (Carolyn) of Golden Valley; seven grandchildren, Tom Scott (Julie) Dallman of Fargo, ND, Krista (David) Lausen of Buffalo, WY, Nichol (Eric) Lang of Cross Ranch State Park, ND, Megan Dallman of Fargo, Brandon (Bridget) Dallman of Dickinson, ND, Nick (Suyene) Dallman of Fairbanks, and Jessica Dallman of Lafayette, CO; one step-grandchild, Billie Jo Weltikol of Mandan; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Della Bauer of Beulah; one brother, Armon (Peggy) Wolff of Golden Valley; one sister-in-law, Marion Wolff of Golden Valley; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. who passed away on April 26, 2007; her grandson, Colter Dallman; one brother, Paul Wolff; and three sisters, Cora Tschaekofske, Ramona Sailer and Viola Bertsch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church or a charity of the givers choice.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
