January 11, 1996 ~ February 19, 2017 (age 21) 21 Years Old

Ryan Rosaaen, 21, of Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Roseau, MN, and Hazen, ND, passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2017. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Beulah, with Pastor Tom Olson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hazen City Cemetery, Hazen, ND.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Ryan was born on January 11, 1996, in Williston, ND, to Todd and Tami (Smith) Rosaaen. He grew up and attended school in Hazen until moving to Roseau and graduating from Roseau High School in 2014. Ryan lived in several places and worked various jobs until he met Carlie Beckman and settled down in Wahpeton. The couple had one child, Suzannah.

Ryan loved to longboard and spend time with his kids, Connell and Baby Suzie. Ryan also loved spending time with his friend, Daniel, tinkering on various projects.

Ryan had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. He was known for his one-liners. He always gave the best hugs and had an “I love you” for family and friends.

Ryan is survived by his children, Suzannah and Connell; his girlfriend, Carlie Beckman of Wahpeton; his mother, Tami Rosaaen (fiancé Troy Hell) of International Falls, MN; his father, Todd (Tammy Ferderer) Rosaaen of Hazen; his brothers and sisters, Nathan, Shaina, Jacob, Jennifer and Kaylee; maternal grandma, Opal Smith of Williston; paternal grandparents, Rodger and Margaret Rosaaen of Beulah; his Grandma Mae of Dwight, ND; three nephews,

 Aidyn, Trevor, and Peyton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Jim Smith.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
