Allen L Miller

Allen Miller, 83, of Beulah, ND passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem, ND. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Beulah Congregational Church, Beulah with Pastor Frank Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 13 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Allen was born on January 22, 1936 to Lloyd and Emma (Kirchmeier) Miller on the family farm in Oliver County. He grew up in Oliver County and attended country school. Allen married Janet Kessler on September 17, 1959 at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah, which is now Beulah Congregational Church. Together, Allen and Janet farmed south of Beulah for 47 years. The couple moved to Beulah in 2007 when they retired from farming.

In his retirement, Allen enjoyed dancing, gardening and taking care of his flowers and helping his son on the farm. He was active in church council and the Oliver County Soil Conservation.

Allen is survived by his sons, Rodney (Sheri) Miller and Scott (Robyn) Miller; his daughter, Sheila (Lee Thomas) Miller; four grandchildren, Casey (Stacy), Chauncey, Samantha and Tryston; one sister, Phyllis Zuern; one brother, Arlen (Alice) Miller; one sister-in-law, Jeannette Kessler; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; his parents, Lloyd and Emma; and one sister, Diane Wittenberg.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
