Beatrice (Keller) Neuberger

Beatrice Beverly (Pitts) (Keller) Neuberger, 95, of Dodge, ND passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen, ND. Services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Golgotha Lutheran Church, Golden Valley with Pastor Tom Olson and Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. Burial will be held at Spring Creek Cemetery, Dodge.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CDT on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Beatrice (Beaty or Bea) was born December 25, 1923 to George Herbert Pitts & Julia Johanna Becker Pitts on a farm in Mercer County, near Dodge, ND. She was the fourth of six children. She completed 11 years of school, quitting in her senior year to take care of her mother who had cancer and her younger siblings. She married Windon Wales Keller on March 14, 1943.  To this union eight children were born, Gary Lee (deceased), Jo Ann (Leo) Schwarz of Badger, SD, Pat McKinney, Wendy (Marvin) Miller of Mandan, ND,  Sherry Evans (deceased), Stanley (Sharron), Randy (Faith), and Tracy Boehler all of Dodge.

Beatrice came to the Keller Farm as a blushing bride of 19 ½ years.  She lived on the farm for 75 years and was very proud of that. Windon passed in January 1976. Bea married Eldor (Red) Neuberger on March 6, 1982. Eldor passed in May 2006.

Bea had a love for the land, loved her flowers, always had a garden, was an animal lover, had a sense of adventure and loved to travel. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing a game or two of Skip-Bo or other various card games.

She always had a smile, a hug, and good advice for all of her family. Bea enjoyed visiting with family and friends right to her last breath.

Beatrice is survived by her children, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grand-children, 24 great-great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mardella Rohde, and a special friend and Skip-Bo buddy, Virginia Peterson.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Windon and Eldor; five siblings, nine in-laws; one infant son, Gary Keller; daughter, Sherry Evans; grandson, Boe Keller; and grandson-in-law, Chad Goldade.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
