Carla (Engebretson) Pfeifer

Carla G. Pfeifer, 55, of Hazen, died Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen.  Services will be held at 2:00 PM CST, Friday, December 6, 2019, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with Pastor Mark Martin officiating.  Burial will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, ND at 1:00 PM CST, Thursday, December 12, 2019.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, at Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen.

Carla graduated from Maddock High School with the class of 1982.  She was employed as a barber in Beulah, worked with her brother at Bison Auto, Leingang windows, Noble Games and prior to retirement worked at Hazen Drug.  In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, working with her flowers in the summertime, fishing, trail riding and spending time with family and children.

She is survived by her husband, Ross Pfeifer of Hazen; one son, Preston James Camp of Bismarck; Step-Sons, Pete (Steph) and Preston Pfeifer of Bismarck; grandson, Emerson Pfeifer of Coleharbor, ND; her mother, Karen and Randy Stiller of Hazen; her father, James Engebretson of Oberon, ND; one sister, Laurel (Steve) Rohrer of Oberon, ND; brothers, Curt (Lisa) Engebretson of Mandan, ND, Jared (Serina) McKinnon, Darin McKinnon, Bryan (Alyssa) Engebretson all of Oberon, Diane Engebretson of Devils Lake, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Camp; grandparents, Carl and Alma Anderson; Marie and Melvin Engebretson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
