Carol Boyer, 58, of Hazen, ND passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Salem United Methodist Church, Hazen with Pastor Rick Loewen officiating. Burial will follow at Hazen City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CST on Thursday at Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen.

Carol was born on July 31, 1959 in Minot, ND to Glen and Onna (Olson) Bockness. She was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1977. She then moved to Wapheton and attended nursing school. After graduation, she worked briefly as a nurse before her health became her top priority. In 1983, Carol welcomed her son, Waylon, into the world. From day one, Waylon was the light of her life. On October 14, 1988, Carol married Greg Boyer and they started their life together and made their home in Hazen, ND.

Carol's devotion to her family was unparalleled, which brought her incredible joy. The bond between Lavina and Carol was one of unconditional love and support. She was a tiny force to be reckoned with and had a vibrant smile and sparkling blue eyes. Anyone that knew Carol, saw her passion for decorating her house, family gatherings, her love of flowers and unconditional love of all animals. It is because of this devotion that we will continue to see the impact of her love for generations.

Blessed to have shared her life is her dad, Glen Bockness; her husband, Greg; son, Waylon (Britta) Boyer; stepchildren, Dana (Steve) Santini and children Alexa, Taron, Christian and Rosalie, Derek (Sara) Frank and children Dax and Rava; siblings, Gerhard Bockness, Lavina (Steve) Myhre, Gladwin Bockness; sisters-in-law, Becky (Garry) Burns and Faye (Clay) Burns; nieces, Lindsy (Shane) Berg, Codi (Ryan) Olsen, Deserea (Josh) Cole, Jenn (Russ) Landphere, Jess (James) Baker; nephews, Glen Bockness, Garret Bockness, Bobb Burns, Chad Burns, James Burns & Joey Burns; and many extended family who all loved her dearly.

Carol was preceded in death by her amazing mother, Onna Bockness, Greg's mother and father & numerous relatives.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
