Carol Buchmann, 71, passed away on October 14, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, ND. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM CDT at Barbot Funeral Home.
Carol was born on February 23, 1947 in Beulah to Louie and Bernice (Luder) Flemmer. Carol grew up and attended school in Beulah and graduated from high school in 1965. Carol began working at Myer’s Drive In during high school and later worked at the grocery store in town for many years, working for five different owners. Carol also wrote a news column for the Beulah Beacon for over 30 years. She worked for two years at Highway 200 restaurant and in 2006 she purchased the Shooting Star, which closed in 2009.
Carol loved to crochet, make plastic canvas toys, embroider, and was very talented at all of it. Carol married Larry Buchmann on November 10, 1974 at Louie and Bernice’s house, and the couple had two children, Scott and Jeremy.
Carol is survived by her husband, Larry; two sons, Scott (Heather) and Jeremy (Melissa) all of Beulah; three grandchildren, Sadie, Zavion, and Lexus; one great-grandchild, Lori; one brother, Delon (Crystal) Flemmer of Beulah; and many nieces and nephews including one special niece, Ashley Flemmer of West Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and one granddaughter, Aaliyah.
