Elaine was born on July 11, 1937 north of Beulah to Albert and Bertha (Oberlander) Boeckel. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. Elaine married J. Victor Walker in September 1955 in Beulah. The couple had three children, Cindy, Danny and Perry. Elaine took care of her home and the farm for most of her life, doing anything that needed to be done. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday School and Bible School for many years. Elaine enjoyed traveling and went on many bus trips and vacations throughout her life. She liked to quilt and play Skip-Bo, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Danny (Melissa) Walker of Hazen and Perry (Sherry) Walker of Golden Valley; six grandchildren, Stevie Draeger, Lacey Walker, DeEtta Richau, Arianna Walker, Vincent Walker and Andrea Buzalsky; seven great-grandchildren, Zayden and Serenity Horne, Locke Walker, Evalynn Richau, Forrest, Dallas and Brighten; four siblings, Loretta, Hilma, Doris and Albert, Jr.; one brother-in-law, Leroy Walker; one sister-in-law, Donna Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bertha, her husband, J. Victor, her daughter, Cindy and her sisters, Bernice and Violet.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
