Esther (Renner) Braun

Esther Braun, 87, of Golden Valley, ND passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Golgotha Lutheran Church, Golden Valley with Pastor Walt Wolff officiating. Burial will follow at Golgotha Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Esther Renner was born to Adolf and Alvina (Mettler) Renner on September 15, 1932 on their farm north of Beulah. She married Theofild Braun in 1949. They had seven children: Janice, Johnny, Bruce, Kenneth, Roy, Russ, and Willy. Esther lived on their farm all her life, raising kids, taking care of animals, and helping wherever she could. She enjoyed watching birds outside the house windows and the two parakeets she had in the house. Esther liked taking care of her plants that filled up the living room. She loved taking care of her family and grandchildren, spoiling the latter with treats.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Theofild, son Bruce, daughter Janice, as well as her parents Adolf and Alvina and siblings: Ruth, Caroline, Irene, and Gilbert.

Esther is survived by her sons: Johnny, Kenneth, Roy, Russ, and Willy, as well as seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
