Gary Joseph Dukart, 61, of Hazen, ND passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, September 20 at Peace Lutheran Church.
Gary was born on December 20, 1957 to Henry, Sr. and Helen Dukart in Dickinson, ND. He was raised in Gladstone, ND, Hazen and Beulah area and graduated from Beulah High School in 1976. Gary attended Wahpeton State School of Science and graduated with a certificate in welding.
Gary used his skills as an iron worker and welder for many years. He worked at Coteau from 1995 until present. Gary was a professional trouble maker with the world’s biggest heart.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. Gary was a long time member of the Roughriders Motorcycle Club and was happiest when he was riding his motorcycle. He loved hunting and he loved being a grandpa. Gary took pride in being a first responder at Coteau. He was a mentor to many and a friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his wife, Malisa Dukart; his daughters, Tonia (Joel Frigon) Dukart and Michelle (Joe) Haugen; his step-children, Tyler Brendel, Hallie Werner and Jorden Werner; two grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin Haugen; his mother, Helen Dukart; his brothers and sisters, Francis (Diana) Dukart, Bob (Bonnie) Dukart, Allan (Mary) Dukart, Elaine (Mark) Brush, Eugene (Shar) Dukart, Joyce (Jack) Edwards, Marilyn (Dan) McBroom, David (Marlene) Dukart, and Henry (Kim) Dukart, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, Sr. and his brother, Paul.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
