Ida (Hausauer) Voegele

Ida Hausauer Voegele, 99, of Beulah, died on October 15, 2019, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM, CDT, Monday, October 21, 2019, at Beulah Congregational Church, Beulah, with Pastor Frank Sapp officiating.  Burial will follow at New Gluechstahl Cemetery, south of Beulah.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00PM CDT, Sunday, at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

Ida was born on the home place south of Beulah on October 30, 1919, the oldest of 15 children to Phillip and Christina (Flemmer) Hausauer.  She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church, south of Beulah, ND.  Ida was raised on the family farm south of Beulah.  On November 27, 1941, she married Alex Voegele, at Gluechstahl Church, south of Beulah.  Together they farmed south of Beulah.  They moved to Beulah in 1959, while continuing to farm for several years.

Ida spent many years as a cook in restaurants in Beulah as well as running her business at the Beulah Livestock Café.  She was a wonderful cook, and her children and grandchildren have fond memories of the delicious foods at her home.  Ida enjoyed listening to country music, watching Molly Bee on television, and attending the jam sessions in Hazen.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy (Lloyd) Schnaidt of Dickinson, and Peggy (Perry) Bundy/Wolf of Beulah; one son-in-law, Bill Landis of Linton, IN; four grandchildren, Annette Zeller (Bruce Mohl) of Bismarck, Troy (Brenda) Mohl of Bismarck, Todd Zeller of Fargo, Scott (Jenny) Landis of Linton, IN; three great-grandchildren, Joshua and Rya Mohl, and Austin Landis; seven siblings, Dave Hausauer, Pauline Frank, Viola Martin, Elsie (Wilbert) Opp, Ella Fandrich, Linda (Tom) Dallman, and Dale (Nancy) Hausauer; sisters-in-law, Ann, Wilma, Betty and Irene Hausauer; sisters-in-law, Elsie Baier and Ella Murray; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; daughter, Joyce Landis; grandson, Lance Mohl; one sister, Martha (Dan) Huber; Carl (Ruth), Alex, Reiny, Herb, Fred, and Gary (Betty) Hausauer; sister-in-law, Anne Hausauer; brothers-in-law, Edwin Frank, Otto Martin, Willy Fandrich.
