Iris (Bentz) Hintz

Iris V. Hintz, 77, of Stanton, ND passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Knife River Care Center, Beulah.  A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Knife River Care Center Chapel, 118 22nd St. NW, Beulah with burial to follow at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery, north of Stanton.

Iris was born on November 13, 1941 to Edmund and Esther (Bossen) Bentz. She was raised and educated in Hazen. Iris married Ervin Hintz in Montana. Together, they lived north of Stanton on a farm most of their lives. They farmed and ranched, lived and loved. In 2017, Iris moved to Knife River Care Center where she has since lived.

Iris enjoyed gardening, needle point, polka music and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ervin; two sons, Bruce of Stanton and Brian of Bismarck; one sister, Betty Koch of Mandan; and two grandchildren, Kody and Tamariah Kraft of Minot.

Iris was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
