Louise Harsch Obituary

Louise Ann (Vaughn) Harsch, 86, was received into Jesus's arms May 11, 2019, at her home with her husband.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT, Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Pick City, with Pastor Nathan Schieber officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, at Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen.   

Louise was born September 6, 1932, in Devils Lake, ND to Charles and Clara (Nelson) Vaughn.  She was the 3rd of 7 daughters.  She attended the rural school outside Denby ND.  She completed the 8th grade.   She moved to Minot to live with her oldest sister and worked as a waitress after her parents divorced.  At 18 years of age, Louise married Joe Meyer and was blessed with 2 children: Muryl and JoAnn.  This marriage later dissolved in divorce.  Louise then set out on a cross country adventure.  She settled in Norfolk, VA and resided there for several years.  She returned to North Dakota in the early 1960's.  She then purchased a small house in Pick City and resided on that property up until her death.

It was in Pick City that she met her soulmate and on July 15, 1967 in Garrison, ND she was united in marriage with her soulmate, Wilbert Harsch.  They were blessed with two daughters, Annetta and Cynthia.  Louise had several jobs over the years as a clerk, bus driver, child care worker, potato picker, to mention a few.  Her most cherished job was that of a mother and a wife. She retired in 1995. Louise belonged to The Germans from Russia and The Good Sams Camping Clubs.  She enjoyed creating costumes/props and co-presenting skits with other club members. 

Louise is survived by her husband, Wilbert; daughters, Annetta (Mike) Forrest, Bismarck ND and Cynthia (Jason) Schauer, Lead, SD; five grandchildren, Dereck and Hailey Schauer, Zachariah and Nathan Forrest, Jeremiah Laro; and one great-granddaughter, Trinity Laro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clara Vaughn, her six sisters: Luella, Ann, Charolette, Alice, Carol and Leona, her son Muryl Meyer and daughter JoAnn (Meyer) Morin,as well as several nephews and nieces. 

The last of "Charlie's Angel's" has departed this Earth.
