Myra (Hanson) Rambough

Myra Rambough, 69, of Hazen, ND passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Minot, ND. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CST on Wednesday, January 8 at Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen.

Myra was born on May 5, 1950 in Hettinger, ND to Emma Marie Mable (Wothe) and Selmer Hanson. She attended school in Hettinger until 1959 when her family moved to Wisconsin. They later returned to Reeder, ND in 1962 and lived there for a time before moving to Scranton,

 ND where Myra graduated from high school in 1968. Following graduation, Myra attended Dickinson State University for four years, obtaining her teaching degree. On June 29, 1973, Myra married Stanton Rambough in Scranton. The couple lived there until moving to Hazen, where they spent most of their married life.

Myra worked for Krause’s SuperValu for many years, doing a little bit of everything. She was employed with Krause’s until her retirement following her diagnosis with ALS in 2017.

Myra had many hobbies and interests. She greatly enjoyed reading, crocheting, cross-stitching, gardening and crafting. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Stan of Hazen; two daughters, Lynn (Tony) Kaup of Minot and Pamala (Joe) Romance of Bakersfield, CA; one son, Westly (Stephanie) Rambough of Bismarck, ND; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy (Keith) Pierce of Arizona and Loretta (Bob) Nicklin of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.

Myra was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Corrine; and one infant sister.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
