Peggy G (George) Dressler

July 1, 1955 ~ November 20, 2017 (age 62) 62 Years Old

PEGGY LOUISE (GEORGE) DRESSLER, 62, of Halliday, ND, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2017, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen, ND. Services will be held at 2:00 PM MST on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Halliday, ND, with Pastor Mary Lou Aune officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Peggy was born on July 1, 1955, in Lander, WY, to Doris (Kelly) and Jim George. She attended and graduated school in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. She worked at a local cafe there and also at Shirley Basin in Wyoming, where she met Randall Dressler.

On June 29, 1980, she married Randall (Butch) Dressler. They have been married for 37 years. Together they had three children, Cori Dressler, Dunn Center, ND, Kyleen Dressler, Halliday, ND, and Trevor (Becky) Dressler of Halliday, ND. She also had two grandchildren she took much pride in, Tayten Dressler and Adyson Dressler.

Peggy’s true passion was cooking. She loved to cook for her family, especially her grandkids. She truly enjoyed teaching them the ropes in the kitchen. She had many cooking lessons with her granddaughter, Adyson. She was extremely proud when watching her grandson, Tayten, play football, and was very happy she was able to attend his championship game this season. She was very proud of him.

Peggy always loved showing her witty personality and joking sense of humor. She had one of the best. As many of you know, with Peggy there was always an inside joke.

Peggy cooked for the Halliday School for 16 years and in that time she brought joy to every student who went through the lunch line. She was very well known for her cooking. A lot of people remember her for her “wolversnacks” that carried the boys basketball team to state two years in a row.

Peggy was always the first one to invite you into her home if you needed somewhere to stay and no matter what you would never leave hungry. She would always cook her big meals and invite all the kids from town, if it wasn’t Indian tacos or fleischkuechle, it was homemade doughnuts or one of her specialties.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Randall (Butch) Dressler of Halliday; two daughters, Cori Dressler, Dunn Center, ND, and Kyleen Dressler of Halliday, ND; one son, Trevor (Becky) Dressler of Halliday, ND; grandchildren, Tayten Dressler and Adyson Dressler; mother, Doris George, Casper, WY; and two brothers, Harry (Toni) George, Medicine Bow, WY; and Charlie (Mary) George, Hanna, WY; any many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and sister Laurie Ryan.

Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
