Rosiemarie (Herman) Pfliger

February 16, 1941 ~ November 10, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Rosiemarie E. (Herman) Pfliger, 76, went to her Lord and Savior on November 10, 2017 at Sanford Heath Bismarck ND. A viewing and visitation was held on Sunday November 12, 2017 at 2:00 CDT at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah ND.

Rosie was born at home on February 16, 1941 in Fairview, Montana to Ervin and Hilda (Entzel) Herman. Her family moved to Pick City, ND in the summer of 1945.  She attended parochial school in Pick City and graduated from the eighth grade at Pick City Public School in 1955. On September 5, 1959, she married the love of her life, Anton (Tony) Pfliger at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Hazen, ND. They started their life in Bismarck ND, after a short time there, they moved back to Pick City in 1964, where she live the rest of entire life.

Rosie was a very kind hearted person and was always thinking of others. There was never a dull moment with her hilarious jokes and funny stories. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes, crocheting, bowling, darts, collecting coins, Avon bottles, and pop tops. She was well known for her flieschuchla feeds. She was one of the founding members of the Pick City Fire Dept. and a longtime member of the city council. She was a member of the Beulah Eagles Auxiliary.  She talked of fond memories of playing softball in Pick City known as the “Jolly Dollies” and her morning coffee group. 

She is survived by her “8” D’s: Debbie (Danny) Keller, Harrisburg, NE, David Pfliger Hazen, Diane (Ronnie) Johnson Pick City, Darrell Pfliger, Pick City, Dennis Pfliger, Mesa, AZ, Donald Pfliger, Pick City, Dwight (Colleen) Pfliger, Bismarck, and Dr. Duane (Metta) Pfliger, Hazen; brother, Alan (Judy) Herman, Panama City Beach, FL; sisters, Linda Cox, June Herman, and Jane Walleen, all of Beulah; one sister-in-law, Marlene Herman, Bemidji, MN; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter-in-law, Kim Pfliger; brothers, Orville, Melvin, and Ray.

In lieu of a memorial service, mom’s wishes were to have a celebration of her life at a later date. Stay tuned…
