Sharmain Dschaak Obituary

Sharmain Lee Dschaak, 53, of Bismarck, ND passed away at her home Sunday, December 8, 2019. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah with Rev. Toby Heller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke’s Lutheran Cemetery, Zap, ND.

Vistitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Sharmain made her presence known on May 30, 1966, two months before her dad, Bennie and her mom, Carmen were prepared for her. She weighed in at a whole two pounds and was in a fight for her life.

Sharmain’s feisty spirit and fight took her very far in life. She was an ‘A’ student, a basketball player, a drummer in the band, active in choir, student council and drama. She even took some times to wreck a few cars. After graduating from Zap Public School, Sharmain went on to attend Bismarck State College and began her life-long career with North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS) in 1987. Sharmain later went on to attend the University of Mary to obtain her Bachelor’s degree. At the time of Sharmain’s passing, she was still employed with NDPERS as a business analyst and considering retirement this December.

Sharmain’s biggest passion, weakness and heart shown through in the love she had for her fur babies. She is leaving behind three very spoiled kitties who will be lost without her.

Along with her love for her kitties, an even bigger love in her life was her two nieces, Brandi Jo and Maddisen Clair Flemmer. She watched these girls come into this world and shared all of their biggest events and saddest moments. They better always call her auntie…or else!

Her father, Bennie and sister, Julie are heartbroken over Sharmain’s all to untimely passing. They find comfort and peace in knowing she is with her mother, Carmen.

Sharmain’s work family at NDPERS went above and beyond with their support and love. She was greatly cared for by this special group of people.

Sharmain is survived by her father, Bennie of Zap; one sister, Julie Dschaak of Zap; her grandmothers, Clara Bieber and Pearl Weil, both of Beulah; and two nieces, Brandi Flemmer and Maddisen Flemmer.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her grandfathers, Fred Dschaak and Alvin Weil; and her step-grandfathers, Art Bieber and Louie Peltier.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
