Adeline V (Tesky) Ziemann

Adeline Velora (Tesky) Ziemann, 89, of Hazen, ND passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Edgewood Mandan, ND.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.  Services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM CDT at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hazen, with Pastor Kirk Peters officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery.

            Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Adeline was born May 9, 1931, the daughter of John and Lydia (Guthmiller) Tesky.  She grew up and attended school north of Beulah, ND.  She married Arthur “Art” Ziemann on October 9, 1949 at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah, ND.   Art and Adeline lived on his home place near Krem, ND, where they farmed until June 1956 when they moved into Hazen.

Adeline enjoyed cooking and canning, with some of her family’s favorites being kraut broche, baked rice, kuchen and pickled watermelon.  She also enjoyed gardening and sewing.  For her past times, she enjoyed reading, playing cards and dice with Art, family and friends.  The love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her main devotion in life, along with her faith.

She is survived by her sons Art A. J. (Mary) and Allan (Sue), both of Mandan; daughter Alicia (Ron) Haugen, Breckenridge, MN; grandchildren Shaundra (Bob) Bolinske, Shannon and Keenan Ziemann, Matthew and Michael Ziemann, Austin and Carter Haugen; great-grandchildren Drake, Blaze and Sheridan Bolinske; sister Betty Mae Hausauer, Zap, ND, Delores (Elmer) Renz, Missoula, MT, sister-in-law Lorina Zuern, Hazen, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Adeline was proceeded in death by her husband, Art of 69 years, her parents and siblings; Viola Heth, Alta Reinhardt, Esther Kirchmeier, Arthur and Lorraine.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
