Allegra (Permann) Boeckel

Allegra Ida Boeckel (Permann) passed away on November 7, 2025, at Baptist Health and Rehab Center in Bismarck, ND, surrounded by family and her best friend. Born in Beulah, ND, on June 27, 1946, to George and Ida Permann (Bickel), Allegra graduated as salutatorian from Beulah High School in 1964 and later attended Bismarck State College, specializing in Medical Secretary studies. She worked as a Lab Technician at the State Public Health Laboratory in Bismarck for four years.

On December 28, 1968, Allegra married LeRoy Boeckel. Together, they raised two children and established the Boeckel Angus Ranch north of Beulah, later relocating to Hazen in 1988.

Allegra’s friends and classmates affectionately called her “Tootsie” or “Toots” for being short and sweet. Allegra loved to talk and visit with anyone and everyone at any time or anyplace day or night. She loved Elvis and Conway Twitty. She was the Queen of magazine shopping. She was the Bookkeeper in Charge (BIC) of Boeckel Angus Ranch and second mother to numerous Brazilian trainees.

Allegra is survived by her daughter, Lori (Gary) Kreidt of Woodbury, MN; son, Travis (Alicia) Boeckel of Bismarck, ND; granddaughters, Gabriella (Michael) Palczewski, Jasmine (fiancé Troy Kuball), and Allison; grandson, Logan Kreidt; great grandson, Jacob Palczewski; brother, George (Shirley) Permann, Aurora, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters-in-law, and five brothers-in-law.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at New Life Worship Center, Beulah, with Pastor Earl Babb officiating. Burial will follow at Boeckel Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CT on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Rehab for providing a second home filled with love and dedicated care over the last 3.5 years.
