Allene (Domsteen) Miller, 93, Hazen, ND, went to her heavenly home, on October 26, 2024 while at the Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Hazen City Cemetery with Pastor John Fanella officiating.
Allene was born November 3, 1930 in Columbus, North Dakota to Jonas and Emma (Stensrude) Domsteen. She grew up in Columbus, ND.
Allene met and married her love, Earl Miller, a veteran of the Second World War. This union was blessed with two children, Myrna and Sharlene and eventually two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jamison. She valued the relationships she created with her family.
She was known by many for her gentle demeanor, soft-spoken voice and love of Christ. Allene had an affinity for birds and very much enjoyed watching them fly and hop around in nature. In her later years, she especially enjoyed board games with her daughters, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed the many visits that were had at Senior Suites and the KRCC. She especially enjoyed Bingo, where she always ended up being the big winner and time spent with the Aggravation board game crew. She enjoyed pictures shown on cell phones and would comment many times how “Mind Boggleing” it was!
Allene is survived by her children, Myrna Miller, and Sharlene (Ernest) Boehler, both of Hazen and two grandchildren, Jeremiah Boehler of Fargo and Jamison Boehler of Hazen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Miller; her two brothers, Donald and Ronald Domsteen; one sister, Joyce (Walter) Anderson;
Psalm 62:1 “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.”
Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen and Beulah.
