Obituary

Angie Hinker, 47, Beulah, passed away May 7, 2022 peacefully at home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDDT on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Dan Paulson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

A celebration of life will also be held at 2:00 PM MDT on Friday, June 3 at the Eagles Club in Rapid City, SD for friends and family who cannot make it to the services in North Dakota.

Angie was born in Casper, WY on August 30, 1974 to Denny and Patricia Gering. The family moved on to California where she graduated high school. Angie then attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology for Paleontology and Geology and started her career with South Dakota Wild Land Fire, where she met her husband Brandon Hinker. The couple was wed on February 22, 2002. Angie and Brandon began their family in Rapid City with the two joys of her life, Ethan and Clayton. The family moved to Beulah the summer of 2018, where she worked from home as a project manager for the US Forest Service, enhancing Wildfire dispatch programs.

Angie was apprehensive to leave the city life to follow Brandon to pursue his career in coal mining. She quickly grew to love the farm life, where she had her one flock of chickens, which each had their own name. She also had four cows which she raised from bottle calves, which also have their own names. Angie enjoyed daily breaks going to the barn to brush and massage her cattle and do chicken chores.

One of Angie’s greatest joys was following her boys through their sporting careers. It was a great joy to Angie to have her family, brother, Steve and Melissa Gering and nieces Jordin and Jorden Blanchard, Maddison and Mike Cushway and Courtney Gering, come visit her ranch. She loved showing Parker, her great nephew the chickens and cows and playing in the yard. Angie was a bright and happy soul that always wore a huge smile. She will be missed daily but will always be in our hearts.
