Arlene was the 11th child of Reinhold and Philipena (Pfeifer) Wiedrich. She grew up on the family farm north of Hazen and attended rural school with her siblings. Her interests included cooking, crocheting, polka dancing and gardening. She devoted much of her time to caring for friends and family when there was a need.
She is survived by her four children, Mary Sheldon (Clifford) of Ray, ND, Vicki Mobus (Richard) of Denver, CO, Ricky Reicheberg (Lisa) of Center, ND and Peggy Anderson (Gary) of Bismarck, ND; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by one brother Clarence (Ardella) Wiedrich; one sister Bonita Miller; one sister-in-law, Helen Wiedrich; one brother-in-law, Hubert Sailer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
