With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Barbara Kay Rosborough on August 17, 2025 after a long journey navigating various health issues. Services to honor her will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Barbot Funeral Home in Beulah, ND. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 22 at Barbot Funeral Home.
Barbara was born on December 10, 1947, in Kittanning, PA to Lester and Rosanna (Webster) Reesman and graduated from Kittanning High School on June 1, 1965. Barb married Rodney Rosborough on September 14, 1968, at the Methodist Church in Manorville, PA. The young couple made their first home in Cumberland, MD before moving back to (Butler) Pennsylvania in 1974. Barb and Rod relocated their young family to Beulah, ND in 1983 for Rod’s new job at Dakota Gasification Company.
While raising their three children, Rod worked full-time at DGC and Barb cared for their home. She also generously offered her time to assist friends with their small businesses. Barb loved dedicating time and support to her grandchildren, attending their sporting and school events. She enjoyed being in the kitchen, cooking and baking for her family and friends, always ensuring she made multiple dishes to satisfy everyone. She spent several years supporting the Sunshine Club by donating her time and baked goods for fundraising events.
Barb had a lifelong love for meaningful conversation, and her warmth helped her build lasting friendships throughout the years. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate others, always remembering to send a thoughtful card on special occasions.
Even as her health declined, Barb continued to connect with others—forming new bonds and rekindling old ones—with the support of many kind and caring members of her community. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed compassion and generosity to Barb, helping her remain in the comfort of her home for as long as possible.
Barbara is survived by one son Christopher Rosborough of Beulah, ND; two daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia and James Anhorn, of Bismarck, ND; Jacalyn Rosborough and Joel Slater of Bristol, IL; grandchildren Ashlee (Ethan) Cunningham, Landon (Rachel) Anhorn, Tyler (Laura) Rosborough, Ashten (Levi) Prange and Garrett Rosborough; Sisters-in-law Olivia (Luke) Erdley, Judie Reesman and Pauline Rosborough. Barb is also survived by many special friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney, her parents and grandparents, her brother William Reesman, and a special aunt, Millie Reesman. May Barbara rest in eternal peace, free from pain.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
