Betty (Lapp) Schilling

Betty Schilling, 84, of Beulah, ND, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Knife River Care Center, Beulah.  Private family service will be held with Pastor Mary Lou officiating.

Betty was born on September 28, 1935 in Twin Falls, ID, to Phillip and Mary (Hissung) Lapp.  She was raised and educated in Twin Falls, ID.  At the age of 13, her family moved to ND.  On Oct. 16, 1955, she married LaVern Schilling in Hebron, ND.  Together they farmed south of Beulah their entire lives. In 2018 they moved to Beulah where they have since lived. 

Betty was known for working alongside her husband on the farm.  She kept a tidy yard where there was a place for everything and everything had its place.  Betty was very caring and strong willed.  She also had a love for crocheting and was a wonderful cook.

Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, LaVern Schilling of Beulah; one daughter, Debra (Rod) Koenig of Beulah; one son, Glenn (Connie) Schilling of Bismarck; four grandchildren, Derek (Terri Nehring) Koenig, Cody (fiancé, Sara Knudson), Camie (Josh) Zenker,  and Charity Schilling; two great-granchildren, Kayslen and Kaysen Zenker; one sister, Rosella (John) Weimerskirch, Sauk Center, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents; numerous brothers and sisters.
