Blanche Siemieniewski, 93, of Beulah, formerly of Grand Forks, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beulah with Fr. Tom Grafsgaard officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.
Blanche (Christopher) Siemieniewski was born on October 4, 1930, to Joseph and Agnes (McGrath) Christopher near Emerado, North Dakota. She graduated from Emerado High School in 1948 and worked for her Uncle at Christopher Launderers & Cleaners. Blanche married Edward Siemieniewski on October 15, 1958, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Larimore, ND, and they made their home in Grand Forks, ND.
Blanche was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Unit 2 and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Marquette #677. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks, and sang in the church choir and distributed communion to the sick. Blanche enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching Twins baseball games. She and Ed resided in Grand Forks until 2003 when they moved to Beulah, ND, and were parishioners at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include husband, Edward Siemieniewski; son, Stephen (Debra) Siemieniewski and daughter-in-law, Terrilynn Siemieniewski; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Kurtz, Kiley Siemieniewski (Shannon Gillgannon), Christopher (Tracy) Siemieniewski, Phillip (Tori) Siemieniewski, Michelle (Ethan Rode) Peterson and Adam Siemieniewski; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Philleen Siemieniewski, Madison Kurtz, KC Siemieniewski, Nikolai and Natalia Siemieniewski, Tessa, Colton and Jaxxon Peterson and Raelyn Siemieniewski; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents; one son, Patrick Siemieniewski; one great-grandson, Liam Siemieniewski; one brother, Lyle Christopher; and one sister-in-law, Rosie Christopher.
