Bruce Alan Lundquist, 63, of Dodge, ND, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. Services will be held at a later date.
Bruce was born on July 12, 1962, in Cando, ND, to Willard and Rose (Schill) Lundquist. One of 13 children, he grew up on the family farm near Alsen, ND. The family later moved to Langdon, and Bruce eventually made his home in Dodge.
Bruce held a variety of jobs, but he most enjoyed driving truck. In his free time, he liked rebuilding motors, trapping, fishing, and helping friends. He loved the outdoors and always had a story or memory to share.
Bruce was kind, caring, and always ready to help. He loved teasing his nieces and nephews at family gatherings, though the joke often ended up on him. His affection for his two furry companions, Lily and Zipper, was clear—he rarely went anywhere without them.
He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his siblings, Lori Swanson (Gene) of Devils Lake, ND; Gary Lundquist (Trina) of Hazen, ND; Tracy Flaget (Chris) of Halliday, ND; Robert Lundquist of Dodge, ND; Susan Stacey (Doug) of Dunn Center, ND; Mary Lundquist (Al B) of Phoenix, AZ; and his sister-in-law, Lynette Boehm (Norman) of McClusky, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved furry friend, Zipper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Rose Lundquist; his sisters, EllaRae Kelly and Cleo Spenst; his brothers, Ervin, Rick, David, and Todd Lundquist; his niece, Rachel Jahna; and his beloved furry friend, Lily.
Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
