Bruce Voegele, 60, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CST, Monday February 6, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah with Rev. Toby Heller officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah. Attendees are asked to dress casually, as Bruce would have liked it.
Bruce was born on January 31, 1963 to Eugene and Linda (Raezler) Voegele. He grew up helping out on the family farm north of Beulah. In 1981, he graduated from Beulah High School, then continued his education at North Dakota State College of Science, earning a degree in welding. He came back home to take over the family farm in 1983. Bruce married Melissa Renner in 1988. Together, the two worked hard to raise cattle and small grains. Fifteen years later, they became parents when Mikayla was born in 2003.
Spending time with his family and friends was what Bruce loved most. He would never turn down a good game of Pinochle and played in various Pinochle tournaments. During his younger years, Bruce enjoyed derby’s and fixing up cars with his friends. Later on, Bruce could often be seen admiring the countryside while riding his Harley. He also enjoyed pheasant hunting with his buddies in the fall. Most of all, Bruce enjoyed supporting everything Mikayla was involved in, never forgetting to remind her how proud of her he was.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Eugene, and his brother, Delton. He is survived by his wife, Melissa, his daughter, Mikayla, his mother, Linda, brothers Virgil (Sue), Randy (Arlis), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
