Bruce "Norsky" Darrell Narveson

Bruce “Norsky” Narveson, 54, of Stanton, ND passed away after a long, hard battle with his health on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanton with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bruce was born on January 13, 1969 in Marrero, Louisiana to Angeline (Birkholz) and Noel Narveson. Bruce and his family lived in Louisiana for a few years before moving to North Dakota. He grew up and attended school in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School in 1988. Following high school, Bruce worked various construction jobs at area power plants and some occasionally his work took him out of state. He was a member of the Stanton Park Board for many years.

Bruce greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also like to attend demolition derbies with family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his father, Noel “Norsky” Narveson of Stanton; his brother, Robert Narveson; two aunts, Hollys (Richard) Peterson and Laureen (Merlin) Ford; one special friend, Bob Gartner; several cousins and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Angeline; his brother, Jeffery; his step-mother, Adele Narveson grandparents, Edmurl and Bethel Narveson; and one aunt, Cherryl Pahl.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
