Carla L. (Teske) Morast

Carla Morast, 69, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

A time of reflection and celebration of her life and commitment to the Lord will be held at St Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Hazen, ND for a graveside service on Friday, May 2, at 2:00 PM CT. Lunch to follow at St Matthew Lutheran Church fellowship hall.

Carla was born July 11, 1955 in Bismarck, ND to Bernie & Mae Teske. She grew up in Halliday and Hazen, ND.

Carla married Barry Morast on October 25, 1980. They shared years of camping and motorcycle trips, bowling, darts, and cards. She enjoyed cross stitch, puzzling, and gardening. She made awesome pickles! Carla enjoyed time with family & friends, but health challenges made social engagements difficult.

Carla was employed at the A & T Drive In, Hazen Elementary School, and the Knife River Care Center. Health challenges forced Carla to discontinue employment in 2010.

Carla is survived by her husband Barry, 2 sisters, Denise Hauff (Jerry) and Neva Weninger (PJ) sister-in-law, Jolene Schmitz (Mark), brothers-in-laws, Monte (Rhonda) and Kelly, and numerous nieces & nephews.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Mae & Bernie Teske.

Carla would prefer that all memorials be made to the Cornerstone Bank Carla Morast Memorial Account her sisters set up to help with expenses incurred over her long medical journey.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
