Chad Morsette, Sr.

Chad Morsette, Sr., 45, of Twin Buttes, North Dakota passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. Services will be held at 9:00 AM CST on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Twin Buttes Wellness Center with Pastor Duane Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Cannonball Congregational Cemetery, Cannonball, ND.

A wake will begin at 5:00 PM CST on Thursday, January 20 at Twin Buttes Wellness Center.

Chad was born on March 25, 1976 in Hazen, ND to Roy and MaryAnn (Stretches) Morsette. His Indian Name, Red Fish, was given to him by one of his grandfathers, Milo Iron Road. Chad graduated from Solen High School in 1995. He married Ardyss Jean Tiger and the couple had five children, Zade River Skye Morsette, Bailey Anne Morsette, Chad Blaine Morsette Jr, Taylor Marie Morsette, and Heaven Altanna Morsette. They were later blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Paisen Jean Morsette.

Chad worked at many places over the years including, McDonalds, Porter Brothers, Twin Buttes Elementary School Bus driver, Coteau, TAT Environmental Compliance Officer, Lignite, and Prairie Knights Casino. His hobbies included hunting, basketball, cross country, attending pow wows, was a champion grass dancer, coaching, going to the casino.

Chad is survived by his wife, Ardyss; his children, Zade, Bailey, Chad, Taylor and Heaven; his granddaughter, Paisen; his father, Roy Morsette; his siblings, Daniel (Almanda) Morsette and Roychelle Morsette; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Kolt Tiger, Dennis Howling Wolf, Eric Howard, Hank Starr, Shorty Bearstail, Robin Ironshield, Russel Young Bird, Tyray Cadotte.
