Charlotte (Gaab) Martin

Charlotte Ann Martin, 78, of Mandan, ND formerly of Halliday, ND, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND. Services will be held at 11:00 AM MDT/12:00 PM CDT on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Halliday with Pastor Dan Paulson officiating.

Charlotte Gaab was born August 13, 1943 in Richardton, ND, the daughter of Anton and Florentine (Zentner) Gaab. She was raised and educated in Richardton, having graduated from St. Mary’s High School.

Charlotte was united in marriage to Herb Martin on December 12, 1987 in Halliday. They made their home on a ranch north of Halliday. Charlotte worked at Union Bank in Halliday for 44 years. Upon retiring, Charlotte and Herb moved to Belle Fourche, SD for five years before returning to North Dakota and making their home in Mandan.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Herb; her sisters, Betty (Leo) Aman and Eileen Messer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; hers sisters, Eleanor Messmer and Dorothy Barth; and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Messmer, George Barth and Norman Messer.

            Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
