Cordella Wingenbach, 96, Beulah, died peacefully on July 13, 2022, at the Knife River Care Center in Beulah, ND. Mass will be held on July 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM CDT at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beulah with Fr. Tom Graafsgard officiating. Burial will follow at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm at St Joseph Catholic Church Beulah on July 20th, 2022, with rosary vigil at 7:00 pm.
Cordella Verna Gustin was born on November 26, 1925 to Frank and Anna (Yantzer) Gustin in Flasher, ND, she was the second of nine children. She grew up on the farm and married Edwin Wingenbach on October 5, 1949. They lived on his family’s farm until 1955 when they moved to Mandan, ND. In 1978 they moved to Beulah, ND where she resided until her death. Cordella and Ed were married for 51 years until his death in 2001. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she was an excellent cook/baker/seamstress, enjoyed camping/fishing, playing cards, games, marbles, dancing, gardening/canning and traveling. Her faith was very important to her and she was faithful attending Mass, Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society and the ND Peace Officers Association.
She is survived by her six daughters, Jane and Frank Schultz, Yvonne Wingenbach, Diane and Bruce Gehant, Joyce Hoffman, Donna and Wendelin Jr Bullinger, Lori and Duane Flemmer; daughter-in-law, Karen Wingenbach; 14 grandchildren, Chris (Kristi) Schultz, Stephanie (Syed) Zaidi, Jennifer (Gabriel) Staack, Lisa (Jason) Sides, Leann (James) Kruckenberg, Marsha (Chris) Bassi, Michael and Eric Gehant, Eric (Stacy) Bullinger, Daniel (Stacy) Bullinger, Samantha (Nicholos) Berquist, Thomas Bullinger, Rory (Jennifer) Flemmer, Casey (Crystal) Flemmer; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Herman (Cecelia) Gustin and sister-in-law, Anisia Beggar; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Gustin; her husband, Ed Wingenbach; son, Arnold Wingenbach; grandson, Andrew Bullinger; her siblings, Elizabeth (Maurice) Creedican, Anthony (Dorothy) Gustin, Clara (Joseph) Braun, James Gustin, Roger (Agnes) Gustin, Johanna (Aloyiuse) Ternes and Daniel Gustin.
