Darlene (Nygard) Price

Darlene D. Price, 85, of Hazen, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Hazen, ND.  Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT, Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, ND.

Darlene D Price was born April 26, 1939, in Edinburg North Dakota to Adolph and Ruth (Kluxdal) Nygard.  She was raised in Edinburg and Kenmare before moving to Williston North Dakota where she graduated high school. 

On Feb. 24, 1973 she married Jack D. Price Sr. They made their home in California and Arizona until Jack's passing on October 3, 2003.  Shortly after, she moved back to North Dakota and resided in Hazen for the remainder of her life.  Her favorite past time was going to thrift stores and garage sales and the thrill it brought when she found her next treasure.  She loved the sun and being by the water, spending many years enjoying the Colorado River in Nevada with family and friends before moving back to North Dakota.  Over the years she enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to music and traveling but most of all she enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Lampert; son, Jack Price Jr. both of Hazen, ND, son, Shawn Price and Kim Little of Apple Valley, CA, five grandchildren, Savanah Duntley of North Las Vegas, NV, Donavan Lampert of Liberal, KS, Aurora Ripplinger of Bismarck, Jack Price III of Bismarck and Sierra Price of Maryland; nine great-grandchildren, Levi, Connor, Andrew, Briar-Rose, Everliegh, Coby, Jack IV,  Ellie-Mae and Nevaeh; two brothers, Mark Nygard of Hazen, ND and Todd Nygard of Williston, ND; four sisters, Marion Melby of Yucca Valley, CA, DeEtta Gibbons of Bismarck, April Wallner of Williston and Heidi Nygard of Hoffman, M|N.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Price Sr.; her parents, Adolph and Ruth Nygard; two sisters, Paula Wentz and Linda Reeves; one sister-in-law, Mary Nygard.
