DeLon Flemmer Obituary

DeLon Therlo Flemmer passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin, ND.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM CDT, Monday, October 21, 2024 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah, ND.  Burial will follow at the Beulah City Cemetery.

 DeLon was born on December 11, 1959, in Hazen, ND. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather, and friend. He spent all of his life in Beulah, ND, where he built a legacy defined by his love for his family and his passion for hard work.

DeLon was a man of many talents and interests. He was the frozen manager at Bronson’s Super Valu and a manager at Jack and Jill in Beulah. His career also included work as a spray applicator and mechanic at Dakota Helicopters, as well as owning and operating a successful flooring business for many years. No matter the task, DeLon approached it with determination, creativity, and his feisty personality.

At the heart of DeLon’s life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal, his daughter Ashley Flemmer, her spouse Renee Ellis, and his grandson Samuel Ellis. DeLon also had a special bond with his granddog, Majla Flemmer.

He is also survived by his nephews Jeremy (Melissa) Buchmann of Beulah, Scott (Heather) Buchmann of Beulah, Cody (Heidi) Herrmann of Gillette, WY, and Casey (Jessica) Herrmann of Gillette, WY; brother-in-law Larry Buchmann of Beulah; mother-in-law and father-in-law Al and Iola Kaldor of Pine Haven, WY; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Mark Herrmann of Gillette, WY and by several great nieces and nephews.

He was a source of unwavering support and encouragement, always striving to ensure that his loved ones had everything they needed. DeLon’s pride in his family was evident. He considered them his greatest achievement.

DeLon had a wide range of hobbies, including motorcycling, traveling, woodworking, building demolition derby cars, fishing, hunting, and archery. He enjoyed spending time playing pranks on his nephews and sharing laughter with those around him. DeLon was known for seeing potential in what others might consider junk, transforming it into something useful.

DeLon made a significant impact on the lives of others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, regardless of who needed it. His legacy of kindness and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Bernice (Luder) Flemmer; sister, Carol (Flemmer) Buchmann; and great niece, Aaliyah Fountain.

DeLon’s zest for life, fierce loyalty, and unwavering dedication to his family will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
