Deane Weidner, 91, of Beulah, ND died surrounded by her family on September 23, 2025 at Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CT on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Toby Heller officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Wittenburg Cemetery, north of Zap, ND.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM CT on Monday, September 29 at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.
Deane was born in Beulah on March 8, 1934 the eldest of six children born to Arthur and Emma (Schock) Tabert. She was baptized at the Evangelical Church in Beulah on March 30, 1934, and confirmed on May 11, 1947. Deane was raised and educated in Beulah. On May 27, 1951, she married her loving husband of 48 years, Roland Weidner, in Beulah. Together they lived in Beulah their whole lives.
Deane was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher for many years. She also held many offices in the LWML. She worked for Koppi Jack and Jill and for Harold Herseth for a couple years and many years in the kitchen at Beulah Public Schools. Deane was a girl scout, a den mother and belonged to the nursing home auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Harlon and Lynnae Weidner of Beulah, Mike and Lisa Weidner of Beulah and Tim Weidner of Fargo, ND; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Tabert of Parker, CO and Richard and Sharon Tabert of Mandan, ND; two sisters, Marlene Goetz and Jeanette and Dale Wetsch, all of Mandan; one daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Weidner; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; her parents, Arthur and Emma; one brother, Larry Tabert; two sons, Rodney and Dennis; two grandchildren, Jackson Weidner and Dustin Weidner; seven sisters-in-law; and seven brothers-in-law.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
