Dorothy E.H. (Raab) Dschaak

Dorothy E.H. Dschaak, 91, of Beulah, ND passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah with Pastor Toby Heller officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah City Cemetery, Beulah.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Dorothy was born on January 13, 1934 to William and Ernestine (Miller) Raab. She was baptized at St. James Lutheran Church on February 20, 1934 and confirmed at St. John’s Wittenburg Church on July 13, 1947. Dorothy was raised and educated in Golden Valley, ND and graduated from Golden Valley High School in 1952. She received a teaching certificate and taught rural grade school for several years. She also worked at Dakota National Bank in Bismarck, ND.

On April 5, 1959, Dorothy married Delmar Dschaak at St. James Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, ND. The couple was married for 56 years. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she held various offices in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was also a Sunday school and Vacation Bible school teacher for many years. Dorothy also belonged to a homemakers club. She was proud of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Vicky (Lyle) Yeager, Faye (Al Scholl) Schaan, all of Beulah, ND and Terry Dschaak, of Zap, ND; nine grandchildren, Shane (Natalie) Yeager, Shawn (Sarah) Yeager, Shantel (John) Neuberger, Shaye Yeager, Chris (Brooklyn) Schaan, Craig (Jayme) Schaan, Jade (Jeff) Cramer, Katlyn (Robert) Baker and Lance (Morgan Hochsprung) Dschaak; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Raab; 13 sisters-in-law; one very special friend, Vi Jochim; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Alvin; two sisters, Lorraine and Irma; and one son-in-law, Cliff Schaan.
