Douglas Eugene Lindquist, 83, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his home in Fargo with his family by his side. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Beulah Congregational Church with Pastor Mike Sayler officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 7 at Barbot Funeral Home in Beulah, ND and will continue one hour before the church service. Burial will follow the service at Beulah City Cemetery, Beulah.
Doug was born on April 4, 1940, in Willmar, MN. He was the oldest child of Phillip and Dorothy Lindquist. He attended country school near their home in Svea, MN and Willmar Senior High School. Doug entered the military on Aug 22, 1963, and was honorably discharged May 26, 1966.
He was baptized and confirmed at Svea Lutheran Church in Minnesota. On September 25, 1977, he was united in marriage to Donna Krausz at Beulah Congregational Church. They made their home in Hazen, ND where he worked as a boilermaker with local 647, until his retirement in 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, John, Kathrina (Steve), David, Christine, Margerete (Chad), Steven, and Richard; grandchildren, Farin, Alice, Ingrid, Ava, Carter, Addison, Emmalyn, Jack, Hazel, and Otto; great-grandchildren, Bella, Lincoln, and Lucia; and his sisters, Phyllis and Deborah.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother along with his in-laws Leonard and Hilda Krausz and his infant son Mark.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
