He loved fishing with his buddy, Rick, taking family camping using the camper he built and water skiing. He also built his home on the family farm. Earl really enjoyed his children and grandsons, playing games, observing wildlife, laughter and jokes and teasing were always a part of him.

He loved his family and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marlis (Kitzmann) Oster; his children, Angela Oster of Beulah, Troy (Pam) Oster of Austin MN and grandsons Carter and Beau Oster and Chad Oster of Longmont CO; sister, Carol Ritter of Bismarck, sister and Adeline Arveson of Washington; twin brother, Orville Oster of Florida; one brother-in-law, Floyd Jacober of Mandan; one brother- and sister-in-law, Kevin and Penny Hoesel of Hannover; and many nieces and nephews.
