EDNA HAFNER, 98, of Beulah, died peacefully on June 12, 2022, at Prospera, Mandan, ND. Services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT, Friday June 17, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Beulah with Rev. Toby Heller officiating. Burial will follow at the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Edna Hafner was born on February 24, 1924, to Fred and Rose (Schlender) Rehberg in Golden Valley, ND. She was baptized on March 24, 1924 at Sophia Lutheran Church in Golden Valley, ND and confirmed on June 5, 1938.
On April 24, 1948, she married Andrew Boeshans. To that union, they had a son, Duane. Andrew tragically passed away in August of 1952. She married Calvin Hafner on September 20, 1958. Edna was heavily involved in her beloved church, Concordia Lutheran Church of Beulah, ND. She loved spending time with family. Edna was well known for her cooking and hospitality to others. She always made sure everyone else was taken care of before herself and everyone had enough to eat. When Enda wasn’t busy cooking and taking care of everyone else’s needs, she loved to be outdoors taking care of her potato farm, bird watching, gardening and watching her flowers bloom.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Duane; her grandkids: Dave (Laurie) Boeshans and great-grandkids, Taylor (Alyssa), Blake and Zackry; Steve and great-grandkids, Ayden and Carly; James (Laurie) Boeshans and great-grandkids, Mason, Cooper and Leo; Lori (Joe) Gross and great-grandkids, Ivy, Madison, Harper and Hank; Ryan (Brooke) Boeshans and great-grandkids, Kinley, Kade and Kylynn.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Hafner; her husband Andrew Boeshans; and her sister, Ruth Mohl.
Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
