Edna S. (Morast) Neuberger

Edna S. Neuberger, 84, of Hazen, ND passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM CST on Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Edna was born on January 18, 1936 in Zap, ND. She was the tenth of 11 children born to Ursus and Julianna (Hoffman) Morast. Edna was raised and educated north of Zap. She married Leslie Neuberger at a country church north of Zap on November 11, 1956. Together they farmed and ranched their entire married lives. In 2009, the couple retired from farming and ranching and moved to Hazen. Leslie passed away on May 13, 2016 and Edna continued to live at home until the time of her passing.

Edna’s family was her whole world, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren!

Edna is survived by her children, Inez Jo (Kert Schumann) Neuberger of Stanton, Kelly (Jackie) Neuberger, Kerry (Tammy) Neuberger, both of Hazen; seven grandchildren, Michelle Boutilier, Jamey (Jayme) Boutilier, Jessica (Jody Bladow) Neuberger, Kassondra Neuberger, Kayla Sayler, Brandy (Josh Bubel) Neuberger and Kevin Neuberger; 10 great-grandchildren, Makenzee, Zander, Bruce, NeeKa, Jaxon, Jakoby, NaKya, Natasha, Ryker and Reid; one brother, Walter Morast of Zap; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Morast of Bismarck and Arlene Bauer of Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie; one great-grandchild, Clarrene; seven brothers and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or Peace Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
