Elliot Rae Metzger

Elliot Rae Metzger, 33, of Bismarck, ND, formerly of Hazen, died Friday, March 2, 2018 while doing what he loved, fishing. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Evangel Assembly of God, Bismarck with Pastor Ron Enget officiating.

 Elliot Rae Metzger was born September 3, 1984 in Bismarck ND, son of Daryl and Shelly (Lafrenz) Metzger. Elliot attended high school in Hazen where he was involved in football, track and his favorite sport, baseball.  After high school, Elliot attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND and was enrolled in the electrical program.  After college, Elliot enlisted in the US Navy, serving our country for five years. At the time of his death, Elliot was employed by Novaspect as a Reliability Technician.

 Elliot loved spending time with his family and friends. Andy and Kolby were more than brothers, they were his best friends.  Where you saw one, the other two weren't too far behind. With Elliot's smirk and quiet soul, there was never a dull moment. Elliot lived life to the fullest and never wasted a second. In honor of Elliot, get out, try something new, don't let the grass grow under your feet.

Elliot is survived by his parents, Daryl and Shelly Metzger of Washburn, ND; two brothers, Andy Metzger of Bismarck, ND and Kolby Metzger of Williston, ND; two best friends, Brandon Hancock of Deadwood, SD and Brent Schweitzer of Timber Lake, SD; and his ice fishing buds, Jeff and Hunter Lafrenz of Bismarck; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that thought the world of him.

 Elliot is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nestor and Helen Metzger; maternal grandparents, Don and Lila Lafrenz; his uncle, Greg Lafrenz; and cousin Cody Livingood.
