Erica Lynn Jacobson, 39 of Dickinson, North Dakota received her angel wings on October 29, 2021, peacefully, of natural causes, at her home. Services will be held 11:00 AM CDT, Friday, November 5, 2021, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow immediately after services at the Beulah City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, at Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah.
Erica was born September 24, 1982 at St Alexius Hospital in Bismarck to Richard and Diane (Sailer) Jacobson. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen. She graduated from Hazen High School in 2000. After high school, Erica attended school for two and a half years in Wahpeton and then moved to Dickinson. Erica had worked in various positions in the food and beverage industry until the time of her death.
Erica loved music and spending time with family and friends and looked forward to anytime they got together. Erica also loved being an auntie to her nephew Jep, who was also her godson. She had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, especially her cat, Mo. Throughout her career, her favorite part was getting to know her coworkers and customers, making lasting relationships with many of them. Erica’s personality was one people will never forget. Her big brown eyes lit up as she spoke and she had the most contagious laugh to go along with her big smile.
Erica is survived by her parents, Richard and Diane, Hazen; two sisters, Kristen (Colton) Burr, and Kelsey (Tanner) Goetz and her nephew, Jep; her Godparents, Mark and Mary Nygard (all of Hazen); her uncles; Hubert Sailer (Stanton), Bud (Paul) Jacobson (St. Paul) and Chris Jacobson (Bismarck); her Aunts, Cheryl Foss (Hazen), Polly Jacobson (MPLS) and Laura Jacobson (Hazen); numerous special cousins; a very special friend, Sabrina Wiesler and her son, Beckett (B).
Erica was preceded in death by her sister, Shannon Jacobson; her grandparents, Edwin and Helen Sailer and Paul and Eileen Jacobson; her aunt, Marilyn Sailer and her uncle, Ken Foss.
