Esther Fleisher, 99, a loving wife, mother and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Knife River Care Center in Beulah, ND surrounded by family and friends. Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Beulah on January 10, 2026 at 10 AM CT. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Beulah City Cemetery.
Esther was born to Henry and Emma (Blum) Singer in Hazen, ND March 12, 1926. She was raised and educated in the Beulah area. Her first job was in the Beulah Drug store and she was required to spend a lot of time behind the soda fountain. She married Adolf Sailer November 4, 1945 and they farmed in the Beulah area until Adolf’s death September 8, 1974. They had one daughter, Carla. After his death, she moved to Beulah where she worked for Dr. Powers and learned that typing was not a favorite skill. Cooking, baking and doing crafts were some of her hobbies and she was known for her baked rice. She also worked 21 years at the Coast to Coast Hardware (Do it Best) mostly in the housewares department which she greatly enjoyed. Bob Fleisher married Esther on November 28, 1978 in St Paul, MN. She was involved in Homemakers, Red Hats and was an active member at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. They loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. Esther also enjoyed dancing, playing cards and following the MN Twins. They both enjoyed entertaining for their many friends and family at home as well as eating out in restaurants. Bob died in February 2011.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Adolf and Bob, brothers Erwin, (Ruth), Herbert (Alice), John (Karina), and Henry as well as her sister Hilda Blohm (Lester).
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Weigel (Bob), grandson, Tim (Kristi) and great granddaughters, Brynn and Tess. She is survived by her brother, Henry’s wife Mable Singer, sister-in-law, Lily Sailer and sister and brothers-in-law, Florence and Virgil Sailer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Esther loved color and we hope you honor that by wearing something with color to her celebration of life.
